The ‘Moulin Rouge’ is a traditional Parisian cabaret. Built in 1885, it quickly became famous for its Can-Can dancers and colourful stage-shows, immortalized by the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Some of the famous names who have performed there include Yvette Guilbert, Jane Avril, Josephine Baker, Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra and Elton John. In the 110 years since it first opened, millions of spectators have been thrilled by the shows at the most famous cabaret in the world.
